""Approximately 1 1/2 years ago I was diagnosed by an orthopedic surgeon with a torn rotator cuff in my left shoulder. I lived with it for about 6 months and at the time I was contemplating having surgery due to the debilitating pain and the increasing loss of my range of motion. I still continued to work out with weights and did a variety of different rehab exercises to no avil. It was about a year ago that I met another chiropractor at a local gym and we got to talking about possible solutions. Since her practice was in West Palm Beach and I lived in Boca she recommended Dr. Bartell, saying he was well versed in this area and I should make an appointment for a free evaluation, which I did. After a thorough examination, and review of the X-rays. Dr. Bartell agreed with the earlier diagnoses. I decided to follow his recommended course of treatment and after a couple of weeks began to notice a decrease in pain, and slowly but surely an increase in my range of motion. Well now it's been close to one year and I still see the doctor once a week, even though I now live in Boynton Beach. I'm totally pain free, and my complete range of motion has returned thanks to consistent chiropractic care! Altough I feel I've reached maximum medical improvement with regards to my shoulder, there's still the rest of the body to care for. With the type of work that I do as a portrait painter I welcome the adjustments as a great way to keep everything working smoothly, and preventing other possible problems. ""When I came to Dr. Bartell it was because I was suffering with hip pain, I had about 40% range of motion in my arm and shoulder,and had other physical aches and pain. Let me start by saying that I have gotten tremendous results with those problems.All the activities of my life are easier because I am no longer in constant pain. Not only that, but my digestion,my breathing,my muscular strenght, everything about how my body works has changed for the better. When I saw the changes in my spinal Xrays from the beginning of care to my exam after two months, I was shocked.
